I went to sleep last night at about 9:30. Dan stayed up working. I was in a deep sleep when I felt the bed shaking. I thought Dan was shaking the bed to get me to stop snoring. When the shaking didn't stop, I sat up and said, "WHAT!?" i saw then that he was still at his desk and not touching the bed. He just looked at me and said, "Earthquake." Not a pleasant experience. It lasted for about 30 seconds while my heart pounded. Dan said that this used to happen all the time when he was in the Solomons.
We love reading your blog, and just wish we were there too. Do you have an address to send a Christmas card? All is fine here, except Jerry fell last week, and was VERY lucky not to have broken his hip, but if there was a contest for the most colorful leg, he would win hands down. Jacob is still in Madison, and they will go there for Christmas day, but we will be at Carol's Christmas Eve, and Jim's family will be here for Christmas brunch. Hannah got a 3.8 gpa the first semester, so was happy, and we were proud of her. Take care, and continue writing.

No, we don't have an address here. I'm not sure how the mail is handled. When you tell someone where you live it is all by landmarks, so I don't think you want to put all of that on a card. The thought is enough for me. Thanks and Merry Christmas to you. Maybe you should buy Jerry some ice cleats. I use them (well, not here); and they work great.
