Dan hitched a ride to the intersection this morning with Ted and Pam. They were headed to David, and they dropped Dan off to walk into church as they went in the opposite direction. I told Pam I would trade her a handful of rosemary for dinner tonight. She has a huge rosemary bush in her yard as well as a giant basil plant. So I made chicken Lela (my version of a dish we fell in love with at Lela's Taverna in Kardimilli, Greece). It's roasted chicken with potatoes, olive oil, lemon juice and rosemary. Simple and delicious. I spent my morning doing my yoga routine and then became engrossed in the John Grisham novel I'm reading, The Rainmaker.
We took the dinner over to Ted and Pam's and ate out on their patio. I'll remember to take my camera next time. Pam is an artist and showed me some of the things she is working on: an oil painting of elephants, some watercolor florals, pencil sketches of her grandson and a stained glass window in progress. She is amazingly talented. I loved all her work.
I was hoping to come home to continue our binge on the Borgias only to discover that we could no longer get it. Something very strange happens with my computer. It bounces back and forth between servers. The support at Netflix said I got it the night before because I was on the Panamanian DNS (whatever that is), but now I'm not, but they will "certainly do everything we can to get it back for you." We'll try again tomorrow.
