This is an email I received from Pam this morning:
Good Morning Christine,
I just have to thank you again for the wonderful dinner last night. That
meal was as beautiful as it was tasty. Better than any restaurant I've
been to here or in the States. What makes it really amazing is you did
it in such a small kitchen and yet everything was so organized and neat.
Oh, you know I just happened to think..........we have a nice big and complete
kitchen at our house. You are welcome to use it any time you like and
we would be happy to take pictures and critique the meal(s). It is the least
we can do for our neighbors.
Really, we are so appreciative of all your hard work putting that together.
We certainly can't top it, but we are so happy to reciprocate. - Pam and Ted
I can't believe we have been here for three weeks already. Sometimes it feels like an eternity, sometimes a blink of the eye. Life is strange that way.
I received an email from Yelin last night. She invited us to her house for dinner for Christmas Eve. How nice. So now we will meet her husband, Jose, as well. We learned from Ted and Pam last night that he is the Minister of Immigration and spends most of his time in Panama City. They said where Yelin is all business, he is not. So this should be interesting.
Tomorrow I'm going to David with Ted and Pam. They're going to show me some of the other places to shop. There is apparently a great place where you can find a wide variety of produce. I'm looking forward to that.
