Monday I went with Ted and Pam for the biweekly trek to David. They had a list of stops to make, but the majority of the day was consumed by the Claro office. Ted and Pam were not aware of the Claro remote router which we use. They were paying $85 a month to a company called Planet. It took us a long time at the office in David, but it was finally determined that they could indeed get the remote router and pay only $11.15 a month. This is one of the perks of having the jubilado status. We pay $42.80 a month. We had lunch at the Hotel Ciudad de David. It is a popular buffet lunch, and every single thing was fabulous. I should have taken photos, but I didn't think of it. We were all completely famished when we got there (I hadn't eaten breakfast because I was rushing due to trying to fix computer problems), so taking pictures was not first on my mind. However, the ceviche iand the carrot soup are permanently engraved on my brain cells.
Tuesday Pam and I had breakfast at Sugar and Spice. We each had the breakfast burrito of which we could only eat half. I also learned that the endless-cup-of-coffee does not exist here; you pay for every cup. I actually learned this last time I was here but forgot.
