One day he slept in a cave, he dreamed that he saw his own body sleeping. He came out of the cave on the night of a new moon. The sky was clear, and he could see millions of stars. Then something happened inside of him that transformed his life forever. He looked at his hands, he felt his body, and he heard his own voice say, "I am made of light; I am made of stars." He looked at the stars again, and he realized that it's not the stars that create light, but rather light that creates the stars. "Everything is made of light," he said, "and the space in between isn't empty." And he knew that everything that exists is one living being, and that light is the messenger of life, because it is alive and contains all information.
I almost woke Dan up, but decided against it. He told me the next morning that he had a similar experience on his hike up Volcan Baru. I have been in other parts of the world where the sky is amazing, but nothing like this.
Pam couldn't play golf yesterday, so I planned to go into town to run a number of errands. I wanted to book our David-Panama City flight for our return to the US, and I had a list of things I needed to buy. Unfortunately, once in town I realized I didn't have the VISA card, so the list was cut very short. I stopped at Tuesday Morning, found Deb (The Chocolate Lady) and bought a small box of her artisan chocolates. They are too beautiful to eat. I'll attach a photo. I also picked up some Vitamin C Crystals. Needless to say it is twice the price here, but Dan has become dependent on it, and since he is doing so well (don't tell him I said that), I didn't want to deny him. I had lunch at Central Park ($3 for a huge plate of chicken stew, beans and rice), did a little grocery shopping (very little) and tried to find Audrey's apartment. I found her apartment, but there were no names at the doorbells, so I couldn't find her. I hollered out her name a couple of times, but no response. I went back to the town center and sat in the plaza for a while and read my book (The Book Thief), and then headed over to Blue Sky for our meeting. I met a new woman there - Jane Derry. She's from British Columbia. She's lived here for a year and a half with her husband. She didn't talk much at the meeting, but she sent me an email when I got home and asked to meet today for coffee. So Pam and I are going to meet her at 2 pm at Cafe Ruiz, then back home for dinner at Pam and Ted's. What a great lifestyle.
