We had a terrible morning with not being able to do anything with our computers. Neither one of us could stay connected to the computer, and the phone wouldn't work. I thought Dan was going to pack up and go home.
I spent the morning moving our stuff over to the other unit and then sat down and communicated with Magic Jack. They had me install a program called Hotspot Shield. It is amazing. Everything is working beautifully and really, really fast!! Ted told me that somehow it is set up to make the Internet think we are in the US, so everything is working great now. I talked to a couple of people on the phone, and Dan had a conference call with no problem. He also had an on-line session with an IT person from his job (who was in Denver but is actually from Oconomowoc - small world), and I'm not sure what they did, but suffice to say that we are now running everything very well. I am so happy! It was a good day. Just made a pot of lentil soup (after Ted came over and helped me get the gas tank hooked up - almost blew our heads off - good thing he's a fireman). Dan went out for a run.
We're having Ted and Pam over for dinner tomorrow. I'm gong to make chicken picata, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted green beans, salad, and mamallena (bread pudding) with rum sauce for dessert. Tomorrow when we shop I have to find a cheese grater, potato masher and a mortar and pestel (just looked up all those words in Spanish, so we're good to go). Good luck to us.
